The Annual PS 158 Scholastic Book Fair is still open online!
THE ONLINE BOOK FAIR will begin on Sunday, November 2nd and run through Saturday November 22nd. If you don’t see a desired item at the fair or if you want to get started on holiday shopping, please visit our ONLINE BOOK FAIR. Please share our link http://fairs.scholastic.com/homepage/ps158 with your friends and family. Every purchase benefits PS 158. Books will arrive before the holidays! We are happy to deliver them to your child’s class or hold them for pick up in the PA office.
We are required to collect NYS sales tax of 8.875% on all book sales. Please take this into consideration when sending money with your child.
The New York State Education Department P-12: Office of Special Education has initiated a Special Education Quality Assurance (SEQA) Special Education Programs and Services Focused Review of our school (PS 158) during the 2014 school year. The purpose of this review is to assess our compliance with selected Federal and State laws and regulations governing the education of students with disabilities.
The review will be conducted by a NYSED Regional Associate and will include representatives from the school district and NYC Department of Education Central staff. The review process will involve a review of school records of a representative sample of students with disabilities, classroom visitations and interviews. In addition, meetings of the committee on special education will be observed.
Further information may be obtained by contacting the SEQA New York City Regional Office at (718) 722-4544.
The next Snack Sale will be on Thursday November 20th with the 2nd and 3rd grades hosting!
The School Lunch Menu has moved to the Resources and Reminders section of the homepage.
This year the PA is collecting contact information electronically.
In your welcome packets that you received on the first day of school is a 'contact information' sheet. In lieu of completing this form, you can enter your information (name, phone number, address and email address) by clicking on the link below.
The information that you enter goes directly to a spreadsheet that is only accessible by the PA--your information is not live on the Internet.
For kindergarten parents who have already entered this information, please edit it to include your child's class code.
This system will help to ensure your information is entered into the database accurately.
