Attendance Policy

We look forward to seeing you every day.

Consistent attendance is vital to student's academic and social-emotional growth.

While we know situations, such as illness, emergencies and religious reasons will occur, regular school attendance is of vital importance.

Our school is better when you are here!

If you are facing challenges with school attendance, please reach out for support.

In the case of an absence, please email the classroom teacher.

For medical appointments, please provide a note on the student's return to school. An "excused absence" is still part of your child's attendance record. We appreciate the communications

School Schedule

Our School Day is from 8:30am-2:50pm.

Arrival:

-Doors open at 8:28am and will close at 8:35am.

-If your child arrive after 8:35am they may enter through the main red doors on York Ave.

-If your child arrives after 8:40am, they will stop by the main office to get a late pass.

Dismissal:

-Please be in your child's designated pick up location at 2:50pm for dismissal.

-You will need your PS158 Lavender cards for pick-up.

-4th and 5th graders may be walkers and self dismiss with parents written consent.

-If you are late you will sign in and pick up your child from the main office.

Early Pick-up

If you are picking up early for the school day please do so before 2:30pm as we will be in transition to dismiss. When you arrive, sign in at security and then go to the main office where they will call for your child.
